1. Introduction
Klippy is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service. By using Klippy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your name, email address, and password. We also collect information about how you use our service, including the Kick streamers you monitor, clips that are generated, and your account preferences. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor — we do not store your card details ourselves.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve our service, send you notifications about detected clips, respond to your support requests, and send you service-related communications. If you provide a Telegram chat ID or Discord webhook URL in your notification settings, clip alerts are sent directly to you through that channel. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Stream Monitoring and Clip Storage
Klippy monitors publicly available Kick stream chat data to detect hype moments. Video clips are recorded from publicly accessible stream feeds and stored on our servers. To manage server capacity, each plan has a daily limit on the number of clips that can be saved (10 per day on Free, 30 per day on Pro); once that limit is reached for a given day, further hype moments are detected but not clipped until the next day. You can delete individual clips manually at any time from your dashboard. Clips are also automatically deleted once they pass the retention period for your plan — see Section 5.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Clips are automatically deleted after 24 hours on the Free plan, or 5 days on the Pro plan, whichever applies to your account at the time the clip was created. You can also delete any clip manually at any time before its retention period ends. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time — see Section 6.
6. Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account at any time. You can do this directly from your dashboard. When you delete your account, we immediately and permanently remove your personal information, all stored clip files, streamer monitoring records, and account data from our systems. This action cannot be undone. If you have trouble accessing this option, contact us at privacy@klippy.io.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all communication with our service and rely on secure, industry-standard authentication. We limit access to production systems and follow secure coding practices. As an early-access product, we have not yet completed a formal third-party security audit; this is planned as the service matures. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Kick, whose publicly available chat and stream data we access to provide our service; Supabase for database and authentication; Stripe for payment processing; and Telegram and Discord for sending clip notifications. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, and data portability. Account and data deletion is available directly in your dashboard (Section 6). For any other request, contact us at privacy@klippy.io.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our service evolves. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
